Q & A Policy Issuance 06-33
Use of the DD214 and other Documentation in Determining Veteran Status |
|
|
|
Issuance |
| Q |
If a DVOP/LVER makes a copy of a
customer’s DD214 and inserts it into a “hard copy” case file, is it
still required that the box in MOSES labeled “DD214” be checked off and
the information about the veteran’s active duty “Entrance” and “Exit”
dates, type of discharge , etc. be entered in the MOSES “Notes” section? |
|
A |
Yes. All required veterans’ data as
described in MassWorkforce Policy Issuance No. 06-33 must be entered in
MOSES. As expressly stated in MassWorkforce Policy Issuance No. 06-33,
“the entry of the described information into MOSES will constitute the
only accepted form of documentation on which quality assurance reviews
will be conducted with regard to the use of a DD214 and by which federal
data validation criteria for viewing a DD214 will be measured.”
